Meet Your Veterinary Team

Dr. Marcy McKeithen, otherwise known as the Motor City Pet Doc, is a native Detroiter. A graduate of an HBCU at Florida A&M University, she then earned her DVM from the University of Florida in 2010 with an additional 1-year small animal internship after graduation. She has worked all over the United States, as well as 2 years in Spain before returning to Detroit in 2018. Dr. McKeithen has worked in multiple areas of veterinary medicine, including: general practice, emergency hospitals, and housecall practice. She is ecstatic about finally being able to co-own a PetSmart Veterinary Service in Troy.

Dr. McKeithen is passionate about companion animal health, but client education is what brings her the most satisfaction daily. She is an advocate for her local community, and serves in many different capacities. Dr. McKeithen sits on the State Board of Veterinary Medicine for Michigan. She is also a Trustee on the Board for the Michigan Animal Health Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the MVMA.

Dr. McKeithen is very well connected in her community through her various professional and personal organizations, including her beloved sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. When she is not working, you can find Dr. McKeithen watching her two amazing sons play baseball, soccer, golf, football, go skiing, or snowboarding with her dog Element Rhapsody.

My name is Luke and I am the manager here at PetSmart Veterinary Services of Troy. I have been in this game for a long time. My first job in highschool was in a veterinary clinic and l've been at it ever since. I have a pretty diverse background in vet med, ranging from private practices, shelter medicine, high volume spay/neuter, emergency medicine, and practice management. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and I absolutely love the team we have here at PVS - Troy! Please come in and say hello when you get the chance.

My name is Elizabeth Fitchett, I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at PetSmart Veterinary Services - Troy. I went to Baker College Owosso to obtain my Associate in Veterinary Sciences. I am very passionate about my career and I strive to provide excellent care/service to our patients and clients. I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies!
