Knowing When Urgent Care Is Necessary
When you’re worried about your pet’s health, it can be a little difficult to think clearly. We consider the following to be urgent cases that require fast action:
- Open wounds (especially when actively bleeding)
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Heatstroke
- Seizures
- Severe allergic reactions (including swelling, hives, or anaphylaxis)
- End-of-life care
While we can usually accommodate urgent cases, we ask that you call before coming in to ensure we are equipped to handle your pet’s issue. If we do not have the capability, we will refer you to the closest emergency clinic.

Every second counts when your pet needs urgent veterinary care, which is why we rely on our state-of-the art diagnostic equipment to get fast answers. Most of our diagnostic equipment is located in-house to ensure we can get imaging as fast as possible. We are here when you need us most.
