A Safe Space for Care

At PVS - Troy, we never want our clients to feel uncomfortable or judged in our hospital. We provide a safe space where we can address all pet needs and meet our clients where they are without judgment. If you have a question or concern about your pet’s care, we always want you to feel comfortable enough to ask it. It is of utmost importance to our team that you feel respected and heard whenever you’re with us. We also practice fear free techniques like using pheromones, calming medication, and positive reinforcement at every visit to help your pets feel safe with us, too.

Open Vaccine Appointments

We make it a priority to have open availability for vaccines at all times. Vaccinations help prevent common diseases to keep your pet healthier. Dr. McKeithen takes the time to thoroughly discuss the importance of preventive care—including how vaccines work in the body and why they are necessary. We believe it is important for you to truly understand the reasoning behind the care we offer your pet.

Regular Exams and Bloodwork

Younger and adult pets can benefit from an annual wellness exam where we can get them up-to-date on necessary vaccines, perform routine blood work, fecal exams, and offer monthly parasite prevention. This care is essential to protecting the entire family from zoonotic diseases (Eg. GI parasites or Leptospirosis), which can be passed from pets to humans.

As pets age into their senior years, we recommend adding a second wellness visit per year so we can make sure they stay healthier longer.
